A leading RIA firm with over $20 billion in assets under advisement is seeking to add an Associate to its Fund of Funds team. The firm frequently invests in buy-side funds, including independent sponsors and first-time fund managers, offering a dynamic and entrepreneurial investment environment.
This role offers a long-term career path for high-performing individuals, with the potential to grow within the organization. The position is primarily based in the firm's Indianapolis office, though there is flexibility to consider candidates for the Chicago office as well.
The ideal start date is as soon as possible, but the firm is open to candidates who are available through Summer 2026.

Responsibilities
• Conduct due diligence on prospective fund investments, including analysis of investment strategy, track record, team, and operations.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of private equity fund managers, with a focus on independent sponsors and first-time funds.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess fund performance and portfolio construction.
• Prepare investment memos and present findings to the investment committee.
• Monitor existing fund investments, including performance tracking, quarterly reporting, and ongoing manager communication.
• Support portfolio management activities, including asset allocation, risk analysis, and performance attribution.
• Collaborate with internal teams across research, operations, and compliance to ensure seamless execution of investment strategies.
• Stay current on private equity market trends, fundraising activity, and emerging managers.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, asset management, or a related financial services role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated interest in private equity and fund investing.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
